A Great Series And For The Price Well Worth Getting Since You Get Season 1&2 Plus The OVA December 12, 2009

This series is one of the love it or leave it anime series as it's very comedic satire and humor of other anime genres is very big on the show but the biggest is the usual love triangle but in this series times that to about ten and you pretty much have the story on what's going on with half the high school kids. The series tries to focus mostly on the seemingly main pair by the name of Tenma Tsukamoto a young female high school student with the feelings of first love for a popular student by the name of Ooji Karasuma(Who has no idea of her feelings for him at all) who she has trouble trying to confess her feelings for and than the young delinquent male student who is in love with her by the name of Kenji Harima. The series other characters get intermixed with their own inner romance as well as some of the characters infatuations going to the mentioned pair as well causing more mayhem for their own agendas in trying to get their true love. What I really appreciate was the price for this box set considering that the two season box sets are still about $60.00 dollars apiece this set was a real bargain, and the extras that come with the set are also pretty good as well you'll get the usual trailers but also interviews from the Japanese crew and creator of the the show, and t.v. spots and commercials of the show which are a little entertaining to see as well. The animation is pretty good for what you expect the show to be with their off the wall antics and situations throughout the show and the voice cast for both the Japanese subbed and English Dubbed crew were just right for their roles, so if you're a fan of series like Ranma 1/2 or Fruit Basket give this series a try you're sure to become a fan of the series....

I've watched a lot of anime and this one has to be among the funniest I've seen. There's at least one laugh out loud moment per episode. A friend of mine let me watch the 1st season and I loved it, and couldn't wait to see the 2nd. This is definitely well worth your time! I never watch with dubs(well, I did with Cowboy Bebop as it was very well done) so I can't comment on the quality, but the voice acting in Japanese is as usual top notch. Definitely 2 thumbs up from me, :)

The series is an overall fantastic series! Personally, I just wished that Yakumo got with Harima.
Yakumo is gorgeous and so caring. Tenma is funny, but annoying.

School Rumble has got to be one of my favorite anime's of all time! Now if I could tell you what the show is really about I couldn't, but i can tell you it is a love story. Harima the hopeless idiot is in love with a girl in his class Tenma (who is also a hopeless idiot). Threw laugh out loud situtations they both try to confess their love. Unfortunatly for them their plans never end up like they'd expect. As the seasons progress the story gets deeper, and by the time you finish season 2 you'll be waiting for season 3 to arrive!

School Rumble is a great watch for laughs. The absurd situations the characters are placed in and how they fail at expressing their undying affection is pure laughter formula. You will also finder yourself rooting for certain characters to succeed, other to fail, and some to get together already. At times it is also heartfelt; the tales of friendships and growing up is something we can all relate too (especially in season 2). Great stuff. You should buy it. ESPECIALLY AT THIS PRICE. $25 for season 1 and 2 plus OVA? unpassupable
WHY is it that I always buy a series before it has a box set cheap release... why? I spent 40 on season 1 and then 35 for each half season release of season 2... ridiculous. And I don't even have the pleasure of owning the OVAs.
Morale of the story: Be patient.. because you may save 100 dollars.
