| Customer Reviews: I saw in in Poland December 1, 2008 G. Warden (Montana, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have watched several episodes of Reksio while I have stayed in Poland with my wife. She told me about how she loved watching this cartoon while she was growing up and I can see why. This dog is just a caring dog who helps out all of his animals friends; whether it be a cat, rooster, dog, or even a boy drowning in the lake. I would definitely recommend this DVD to any family with small children and I really hope that more DVD's come out here in the US.
A Pup with a Heart of Gold January 10, 2006 BlaskoFilms (Coon Rapids, MN United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This DVD contains seven short episodes of the reportedly-popular Polish series Reksio. The animation is uncomplicated and effective (I loved the hand-painted backgrounds - sort of a Bill Melendez, Peanuts special feel to them) and the stories, centering around a brave do-gooder pooch, are heartening. They may not hold the attention of most children in the U.S., but these short episodes are certainly positive and sincere. This is just good cartooning for young children - take that for what it's worth to you and your family. Oh, and don't worry about a language barrier; these films are without any spoken dialogue. Enjoy!
